Join us for Church School, Sundays at 9:45AM. All children are welcome!
Director are Barbara Cough, an active Trinity parent, organizes and directs the elementary level children’s program and the teen programs. Barbara works with many volunteer parents at Trinity who help teach, guide and have fun with the kids.
Elementary School Program – Barbara uses the Episcopal Church’s Lectionary based program for the lower grades. Lessons are a guide to centering Christian education in the church and home around the Biblical story. Church School teachers will introduce concepts such as being a caring friend, making choices, and respecting others. These conceptual ideas are discussed with scriptural relevance before the children are given opportunities to do activities, play games, or complete projects that connect the concept and scripture to their every day life and family.
Middle School Program – The program focuses on relationship building and offer ways for teens to discuss topics and struggles they regularly encounter and discern where God is in their daily lives.
High School Program – The program has a two-prong approach. First part has the teens monthly choosing where they’d like to participate in Trinity’s Sunday Morning Services. Among the choices are acolyting, lay-reading, assisting in the church school or nursery and helping with coffee hour. The second part of the program brings teens together twice monthly on Sunday afternoons. This will be a safe place for them to have fun and give them the opportunity to explore friendships, spirituality and their relationship with God.
Nursery Care – Drop-in babysitting for infants and toddlers is available in our Nursery room during the 10:00 service (9AM service during the summer months). Volunteers from our congregation staff the nursery. Nursery care is a time for playing, reading and coloring and does not follow a curriculum.
